What We Do

Services provided

As a domiciliary care provider, Extra Mile Healthcare offers care services for individuals who are still living in their own homes. We aim to encourage independence so that you are able to remain living in your own home for as long as possible. Examples of tasks that our Care Assistants are able to carry out for you include:

Personal care (assistance with washing/showering/bathing and getting dressed or ready for bed, administering prescribed creams etc.)
Assistance with medication – this can vary from simply reminding you to take your medication to actually administering it, depending on your needs
Meal preparation
Assisting to use the toilet/continence care (assistance with changing pads, catheter bags etc.)
Assistance with oral hygiene (prompting you to brush your own teeth, taking care of cleaning your dentures etc.)
Ensuring you maintain a tidy appearance by assisting with brushing hair, shaving etc.
Light housework and domestic assistance such as vacuuming, cleaning etc.
Companionship and social visits

This is not an exhaustive list and all new service users will receive a visit from a qualified Care Assessor, who will carry out a person-centred assessment before commencing their care package. During this assessment, the care package will be tailored in order to fit your needs as best as possible.
